Smoky Mountain Bigfoot 5K Run – May 2024

Date and Time

Saturday May 4, 2024

Check-in:  7am to 8:45am

Race Starts:  9am

Race Information

5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk starting at the Peaceful Side Social featuring the best swag in the history of Bigfoot 5Ks – you thought last year was good, this year is even ‘Squatchier!! Race, run, walk, or crawl 5K (or 1 mile!) and take home:

  • Bigfoot Tee (relaxed fit, crazy comfy!)
  • Medal (yes, genuine Bigfoot-kissed metal!) if you finish!
  • Bigfoot Lanyard (as if you needed any more style!) on that medal!
  • Cool Headband
  • and…who knows what else we’ll come up with?

The 5K and 1 mile fun run start at 9:00am, with full support along the way and a guaranteed good time. You might even (OK you almost certainly will!) experience a ‘Squatch sighting along the course! After the race, stick around for the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival – We’ll have live music, vendors, food trucks, Bigfoot competitions (I don’t even know what that means yet!), famous Bigfoot researchers, chainsaw carving artisans, and much much more (including the return of SlashSquatch!)

Important note on parking: Your race entry includes parking for the Festival (a $25 savings), unless you move your car, so leave your car parked where it is and walk or take the free shuttle to the festival. Again, if you move your car, you’ll be asked to pay that $25 for parking. It’s a quick stroll down the same path that you run on, so take your cooldown walk & enjoy the festivities, or catch the shuttle if you’re whipped from the run! We’ll give you an armband which will get you free entry to the festival – your non-running companions will need to pay the $15 entry fee (or $10 advance purchase).

Due to insurance regulations we can’t have pets in either race, and strollers or wagons are only allowed on the 1 mile fun run.
